My yoga practice began back in 2012, in Fargo, ND. I was 50 lbs. overweight, stressed out, and desperately seeking purpose. I was determined to make some lifestyle changes. Yoga ended up being just the thing I was seeking. I'll never forget my first class. I had walked in anxious & scared, and later walked out feeling strong & empowered. I promised myself I would stick with it. Quickly yoga became my safe haven. All of life's stresses became insignificant. All that mattered was the present moment. As my passion for yoga grew, I felt a pull to teach & share this practice with others. In 2016 I pursued teacher training here at Azitala. I am blessed to now have the opportunity to share yoga with all of you here at Azitala.

  • Active Flow
  • This class will challenge you with a warm up, sun salutes, inversions, balance and a posture class that will connect your breath and keep you moving, work core, and deepen your practice, focusing on the flow of postures.

    • Length: 60 minutes
    • Benefits: work up heat, strength, flexibility, metabolism and conditioning.
    • Pace: Moderate to active.
    • Who: All Levels welcome, modifications will be offered to suit all practitioners
    • Assure hydration before class.

  • Restorative
  • This class will be designed to de-stress, focus on stretching and heal, designed to have gentle movement, coupled with focused breathing; meditative practice that will work through regenerative postures and finish with supported poses, focus is on natural re-alignment.

    • Length: 60 minutes
    • Benefits: work on flexibility, stretching, relaxation, realignment, depth of mind and healing
    • Pace: Slow.
    • Who: All Levels welcome, this is a class that will leave you feeling renewed and refreshed every time!
    • Assure hydration before class.

  • Beginners Class
  • Offered 4x/wk, This class will be designed to anyone wanting to learn yoga, focus on the principals of yoga, foundations of postures, joining movement to breath, alignment and modifications to suit all practitioners. The postures will be friendly, the descriptions will be clear.

    • Length: 60 minutes
    • Benefits: work up heat, flexibility, metabolism.
    • Pace: Slow to Moderate.
    • Who: beginners, however, all students are welcome- share your practice with others who may be looking for examples to watch out of the corners of their eyes
    • Assure hydration before class.

  • Vinyasa Flow w/ Weights
  • This class will challenge you with a warm up, sun salutes, inversions, balance and a posture class that will connect your breath and keep you moving, work core, and deepen your practice, focusing on the flow of postures and presence of mind with breath- CARDIO.  
     
    Weights are optional to help increase the cardio burn.

    Length: 60 minutes

    • Benefits: work up heat, strength, flexibility, metabolism and conditioning.
    • Pace: Moderate to active.
    • Who: Designed for Seasoned Yogis, modifications will be offered to suit all practitioners.
    • Assure hydration before class.

  • Yin- Deep Stretching
  • This class will focus on the fundamentals of postures, by moving into a YIN class with postures designed for deep opening, deep tissue lengthening and healing of joints and tendons.
    • Length: 60 minutes
    • Benefits: deep YIN stretching.
    • Pace: Slow to moderate then back to slow.
    • Who: All Levels welcome, modifications will be offered to suit all practitioners
    • Assure hydration before class

  • 75 Combo Class
  • This class will move through a warm up, sun salutes, inversions, balance and a posture class that will connect your breath with the postures, work core, and deepen your practice, focusing on the fundamentals of postures, and combines by moving into a restorative class with postures designed for deep opening and healing

    • Length: 75 minutes
    • Benefits: work up heat, strength, flexibility and metabolism.
    • Pace: Slow to moderate then back to slow.
    • Who: All Levels welcome, modifications will be offered to suit all practitioners
    • Assure hydration before class

  • 75 Static-Beginner Combo
  • This class will move through a warm up, sun salutes, inversions, balance and a posture class that will connect your breath with the postures, work core, and deepen your practice, focusing on the fundamentals of postures, and combines by moving into a restorative class with postures designed for deep opening and healing
