Breaking down 26 static traditional yoga poses: focus on holding the posture beyond your limits, to retrain your breath and your patience, while building strength, stamina, and finding mental peace amongst the chaos of your own body.
WHAT DOES YOUR YOGA LOOK LIKE?
Finding peace in yourself and your yoga visualization: focus on body image and how you can positively promote your own self awareness, by practicing breath, non-judgment, non-attachment and finding self acceptance to carry with you off the mat.
DEEP TISSUE STRETCHING
Intro to anatomy and deep stretching with straps: focus on Iyengar's teachings for getting to the roots of our body, using props to move deeper into muscle groups, and finding comfort through deep stretching.
YOGA ON YOUR HANDS AND ARMS
Breaking down arm balancing and learning courage: focus on postures that will strengthen and warm the muscle groups that hold you in arm balances, learning the quiet focal points and concentration required, and finding you can soar.
AHHH... DEEP BREATHS
Breathing techniques for stress reduction and anxiety: focus on several breathing exercises and slow flow techniques that aid in neurological calming; demonstrate real physiological changes in the central nervous system; and finding you can carry the techniques into your home, your office, and your life.
CLEAN FROM THE INSIDE OUT
Clean eating and cleansing postures for detoxing: focus on a yoga practice that starts with the beverages and foods you put into your body, how you can maximize the benefits of proper nutrition before and throughout your practice, and finding ways to avoid unnecessary toxins.
